Mrs. Carrie Sherrick Woods, widow of Charles Woods, died at 7:30 o'clock this morning at the Connellsville State Hospital. She had been very ill for a week and on Wednesday was removed from Pennsville where she lived with her mother to the local institution. Complications following an attack of grip caused death. She was in her 61st year having been born in 1864. She was a daughter of A. H. and Mary Sherrick, the former being deceased. Mrs. Woods spent her youth at Pennsville and after her marriage to Charles Woods moved to Pittsburg. Her husband died on December 24, 1907. Then she moved to Philadelphia and seven years ago returned to Pennsville to live with her mother. One daughter, Miss Mary Josephine Woods who made her home at Pennsville, but who is employed in Pittsburg, survives together with a number of brothers and sisters. They are S. D. Sherrick of Pennsville, (unreadable) of Wilkinsburg, B. T. and J. D. and Mrs. Ella Jones of Connellsville and Miss Lydia H. Sherrick. The body was removed to the home of the mother at Pennsville by Funeral Director J. E. Sims.
Funeral arrangements have not yet been completed. Interment will be made in Alverton Cemetery.
