Amy Trammell, 100, of Oneida, Tenn., died September 6, 1996, at the Scott County Hospital in Oneida, Tenn. Born in Scott County, Tenn., May 30, 1896, she was the daughter of the late Louverna Cross. In addition to her mother, she was preceded also in death by her husband, Lee Trammell; three sons; and six daughters. She was a member of the Upper Jellico Creek United Baptist Church of Christ. She is survived by one son, David Trammell; three daughters: Beatrice Peters of Chief-land, Fla.; Alice Monesmith of Rochester, Ind.; and Charity Mahan and husband, Gene of Oneida; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and several other relatives. Funeral services were conducted September 8, 1996, in the Chapel of Jones and Son Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Chitwood officiating. Special music was provided by Paul and Beverly Chitwood. Interment will follow in the Perkins Cemetery. Jones and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. ( from The Independent Herald, 12 Sept. 1996)
