Daughter of Caleb & Teresa (Williams) Sanders. Wife to Charles Sumner Byers, and mother to Walter A. & Carl Sumner Byers.

"End came last evening after a long illness. Mrs. C.S. Byers, 630 Gypsum Ave., died at Asbury Hospital of cerebral hemorrhage last night at 11:45 at the age of 71 years, 8 months, 2 days.

Mrs. Byers was born Oct. 14, 1855 at Basco, Hancock Conty, Illinois and has only lived in Salina for 8 months.

She was a member of the Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Byers is survived by two sons, Walter A. Byers, Tacoma, Washington and Carl Sumner Byers, 642 So. 11th, Salina and a brother L.O. Clark, Adams. Neb.

Funeral service will be held at the family home, 630 Gypsum Ave. Sunday afternoon with V. Kerns in charge. The body will lie in state at the Salina Funeral Home until Sunday afternoon at which time the funeral will be held at the family residence. Internment will be in Gypsum Hill Cemetery."
