Died 1:32pm - Death from 41-29174 Liberator colliding with another B-24 (41-28651 or 43-28651) in mid-air, and had crashed about 800 meters north of Le Ployron, France, eight kilometers south of Mondidier. The ship was completely destroyed and burned. Initially buried in a common grave in the Cemetery Le Ployron, France, located at the eastern outskirts of this village. Missing in Action memorial marker erected at the Grove Hill Cemetery in Hanoverton, Columbiana, Ohio, USA. Currently interned at the Epinal American Cemetery and Memorial in Épinal, Vosges, Lorraine, France.
