SERVICES HELD FOR J. R. CONLEY
Funeral services were held at the Baptist Church Tuesday afternoon for James Richmond Conley, 80, of Henderson. He was the father of Mrs. Art Davis of Henderson.
Rev. J. F. Stille, a former pastor here, was in charge of the service.
Music was furnished by I. N. Cheney, H. E. Greenwood, R. R. Honeyman, and Win Castor with Mrs. I. N. Cheney at the piano. Burial was in the Emerson Cemetery with the Comer Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Conley was born at East Point, Kentucky, November 18, 1859. In 1886 he married Rhoda May and to this union seven children were born. Three died in infancy.
Surviving him are his children, Mrs. Art Davis, Henderson, Mrs. S. S. Elliott, Canton, Oklahoma, O. R. Conley, Bedford, Colorado, and Mrs. A. L. Echternach, Red Oak; a brother and sister in Kentucky, and 17 grandchildren as well as 9 great grandchildren.
The death of Mr. Coley was the first death in the immediate family in 19 years.
