SIX SONS ACT AS PALLBEARERS AT FUNERAL OF PROMINENT SHAWANO COUNTY MAN.
On Friday night, January 4, Israel Pues, of Navarino, passed away at his farm home. Funeral services were held at the Norwegian Lutheran church, at Navarino, and interment was made at the cemetery at Hilda.
Mr. Pues was just sixty-nine years old at the time of his death. He was one of the old time citizens of the Navarino community as he spent practically all of his mature life there. He was born in Oshkosh and later moved to Shawano county. He was a prominent Shawano county farmer and was one of the leaders of his community. At one time he was a member of the county board, and since has taken part in numerous activities of his neighborhood.
The deceased is survived by his widow and a large family of grown children. The body was borne to its place of burial by his six grown sons.
