Died of complications from the Spanish influenza and bronchial pneumonia on 2 Oct 1918. Pvt. LINGER was taken off the ship arriving from the U.S. suffering from pneumonia and was transported to Base Hospital near Brest, France.
Buried at Oise-Aisne American Cemetery, Fere-en-Tardenois, France Plot D, Row 20, Grave 8.
