ATLANTIC - Funeral services for Herbert Otto Geopforth, 78, Atlantic, a native of Emerson, were held this afternoon at Roland Funeral Home here with Rev. Harold A Smith officiating and burial in the Emerson Cemetery.
A retired employee of the Atlantic Wholesale Grocery Company and an Atlantic resident the past 20 years, he died at the hospital here Thursday, December 23.
The son of Mr. and MRs. Herman Geopforth, he was born in Emerson, October 10, 1887 and was a World War 1 Veteran.
Surviving are two sons, Lewis D. (Lew Jefferies) of Omaha and Herbert M. of Cypress, California; sister, Mrs. Gertie Reid of Pleasanton, California, brother, William of San Diego, five grandchildren.
