Jennifer Cann Powers Wood, age 21, of Madison, died at 3:41 am Aug 31, 2000, at her residence in a house fire.
She was born Sept. 19, 1978, in Granite City, the daughter of Dwayne and Laura Burris Cann.
She was married to Michael Wood. He survives.
Also surviving are her father, Dwayne Cann of Granite City; her mother, Laura Williams, and husband, Tom, of O'Fallon; four brothers, Brevan Flaugher of O'Fallon, Stefan Flaugher of O'Fallon, Justin Cann of Granite City and Joshua Cann of Granite City; a step-father, Wayne Flaugher of Granite City; a step-daughter, Drew Anslee Wood of Columbia; four step-brother; maternal grandparents Leo and Nonna Burris of Granite City; and paternal grandparents Robert and Mary Cann of Granite City.
Daughters, Brittney 5 and Kayla 3 also perished in the fire.
