Jacob Korn, for many years a prominent German resident of this county, died at his home on Charles St., Saturday morning. He was born in Bavaria in 1812, and came to America in 1834. He married Miss Catherina Eiler in 1840, who died in 1877. Some years later he married Mrs. Louisa Weinheimer, who survives him. For a long time he was a resident of New Berlin, where he owned a large farm. Several years ago he retired, coming to the village, where he purchased a pleasant home. Four children survive him: Frank, a well known resident of New Berlin; David, who resides in Nebraska, Mrs. August Schley and Mrs. Phillip Schley, both of this village. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Presbyterian Church. Mr. Korn was a thrifty, industrious citizen and very generally respected. He leaves a large property.
