Thomas D. Cook, 78, of Brook, died at 7:50 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 1, 2010, at Rensselaer Care Center.
He was born Feb. 13, 1932 in Jasper County to the late Robert and Merle R. Mooney Cook. On May 17, 1959, he married Patricia K. Hancock in Brook. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Jeffry A. Cook (wife: Geneva) of Lee and John D. Cook of Gainesville, Ga.; a daughter, Janet Kay Wright of Kentland; a brother, Herb Cook (wife: Susan) of Francesville; 8 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Brendon Cook; 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
He served in the U.S. Army.
