**Last Will & Testament of Martha J Bett**

I Martha J Betts of Pattonsburg and in the County of Daviess and State of Missouri, being of sound mind and memory, and commanding the uncertainty of this frail and transitory life, do therefore, make, ?, publish and declare this to be my last Will and Testament.

First, I order and direct that my executor herein after named, pay all my just debts and funeral expenses as soon after my decease as correctly may be.

Second, After the payment of such funeral expenses and debts, I give, devise and bequeath to Herbert B. Parker the following described Real Estate to wit: The southwest quarter of the southeast quarter of section twenty-four (24) in township sixty (60) of range twenty-nine (29), except a strip off of the east side sold by me to O Bruner, said strip containing five (5) acres, leaving thirty-five (35) acres hereby bequeathed to Herbert B Parker. The said Herbert B. Parker is to pay my funeral expenses and erect to my grave a monument to cost not exceeding forty ($40) unless he chooses to pay more for said monument. I give and bequeath to my son Harry Nance who was adopted as such by Charles R. Nance and his name changed from that of Harry Friend, all of my personal property of every kind and description.

Lastly, I make, constitute and appoint Herbert B. Parker to be Executor of this my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all former wills by me made.
In Witness Whereof, I have herunto subscribed my name and affixed my seal, the fifth day of June, in the year of our Lord, One Thousand Nine Hundred and Fifteen.
