JAMES Dannie Margaret James, 92, died Sunday, August 01, 2010, at George Regional Hospital. She was born April 24, 1918, in Leakesville, Ms. Mrs. James loved to cook and sew. She was famous for her sour cream pound cake in the Vernal Community. Mrs. James was a member of Vernal Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cornell Ford James; her father and mother, Dwight Oscar and Admiral Dewey (McInnis) McLeod; a son, Gerald Mack James; grandson, Tommy Carroll Miller; two brothers, Kenneth McLeod and Crawford McLeod. She is survived by two sons, Stanley Doyle (Carolyn) James, Joe (Janet) James, two daughters, Sudie Miller (Billy) Copeland, and Mary James Scoggins; one daughter-in-law, Sandra Eastep James; twelve grandchildren, and twenty-two great grandchildren. Visitation will be held August 4, 2010 at Sigler Funeral Home from 9:30-11:00am. Funeral services will also be held August 4, 2010, in Sigler Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in the James Cemetery, Vernal, Ms. Pallbearers were Grandsons: Stan James, Todd Miller, Jeremy Watler, Clint James; Great grandsons: Lance Brewer, Brett James, Logan Brewer, Skylar Graham, Cody Smith, Trae Miller, Dylan Miller, Ryan James.
