He served in the United States Navy during WW II; in the Asiatic Pacific Arena.
Mr. Zrelak worked for Ford Motor Co. Brookpark plant 35 years until he retired in 1986.
He was a member of United Auto Workers Union Local 1250, National Rifle Association and a life member of the VFW, Valley City. He was an avid fisherman and hunter.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret (nee Beres) Zrelak; daughters; Susan Kershaw, of Lorain, Karen Pace, of Elyria, Barbara Morales, of Lorain and Mary Pearson, of Norman, OK; stepsons; Duane Lowther, of South Amherst, John Lowther, of Elyria and Brian Lowther, of Akron; 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; sisters; Susan Scallion, of Lakeworth, FL, Elizabeth Christion, of WV and Mary Rose, of New York, NY; brother; John Zrelak, of San Francisco, CA.
He was preceded in death by his parents;John and Susan (neeDogi) Zrelak; sister, Anne Case and brothers, Steve and Andrew Zrelak.
Graveside services will be held on Monday at 10:00 AM at Huntington Cemetery, Wellington, OH. Reverend James Reymann, pastor of Saint Patrick Catholic Church, Wellington, will officiate. Memorial contributions are suggested to the New Life Hospice, 5255 Abbe Road, Elyria, OH 44035
