Mrs. Paine worked as the Director of Nursing at the Wellington Hospital from 1962 until 1975. She retired from nursing in 1980 from Elyria Memorial Hospital. As a member of the Rochester United Methodist Church, Mrs. Paine served as a president of the United Methodist Women. She loved gardening, fishing, playing cards, Bingo, swimming and bowling.
Survivors include her four children; Frederick L. Paine, Jr. of Medina, Hazel Paine of Willoughby, Harold Paine of Huntington, and Patricia (Stanley) Kosakowski of Brecksville; 1 grandchild; 5 step grandchildren; and many great grandchildren. Mrs. Paine was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick L. Paine in 2006 and her sister, Viola Stich.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Friday, October 19 at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S. Main St., Wellington, where funeral services will be held at 11 am on Saturday. Pastor Christine Bell will officiate the service. Burial with military rites will follow at Huntington Cemetery.
