Alma Shobe
Rochester relatives received word this afternoon of the death of Mrs. Alma SHOBE, former resident of this city, who passed away during the noon hour today at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Otto CARLSON, of Indianapolis.
Mrs. Shobe had been a resident of this city for a long number of years, residing at her home on West 8th street until it was partially destroyed by fire about 18 months ago. Since that time she had made her home with her daughter.
The body is being returned to the Zimmerman Brothers funeral home here this evening and a full obituary will be published in Wednesday edition of The News-Sentinel.

Funeral services for Mrs. Alma Jane SHOBE, who passed away 1 p.m. Tuesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Otto CARLSON, Indianapolis, will be held Thursday 1:30 p.m. (DST) at the Zimmerman Brothers funeral home.
Mrs. Shobe had been residing with her daughter for the past several months and she had been in ill health for over a year. She had a host of friends throughout Rochester and Fulton county where she had resided throughout her entire life.
Mrs. Shobe was born June 12, 1867 at Tiosa, the daughter of George and Jane PERSCHBACHER. In 1888 she was married to Cyrus SHOBE who preceded her in death in 1932. Mrs. Shobe was a member of the St. Johns Lutheran church, of this city, and was an active worker in that religious organization.
Survivors are the daughter, Mrs. Frances CARLSON, Indianapolis; a sister, Mrs. Harriett BONINE, Rochester; a number of grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The Rev. Paul SCHWANS of the Lutheran church will have charge of the final rites and burial will be in the Reichter cemetery northeast of this city. The body rests at the Zimmerman Brothers funeral home where friends may call.
