ANNA THERESA THEBERGE GEORGE
See note below regarding her birth information.

Wife of Wesley H. George. They had no children together.

Daughter of Louis Theberge (alternately "Lewis"), who was born in France.

Sister of Francis Theberge and Peter Louis Theberge.

Aunt of George Theberge, Irvin Theberge, Jessie Theberge, Mabel Theberge, and Peter L. Theberge.

Step-mother of Wesley Hill George.

Her age is debatable, as is her place of birth. She always gave differing birth dates and places of birth. Sometimes she is listed as born in (French) Canada, other times France is listed. One of her brothers, Peter Lewis Theberge, was "born at sea".

She once gave her birth date as January 1867 which conflicts with her 1870 birth date on her tombstone. Other birth years given were 1865 and 1870. By the time she married Wesley, her birth date was consistently given as 1870. Not surprisingly, in her younger years, she boasted of an earlier date, in her later years, that birth date had moved forward, making her appear younger.

In 1896, she was listed as "missing" in the Trenton newspaper after her brother reported her absence from home. Coincidentally, former Trenton Councilman, John Ginnodo, was also reported missing. Anna and John were eventually found, and they lived together in Philadelphia and other locations for several years, claiming to be married but going by the names John and Anna Theberge, rather than his surname Ginnodo (1900 Census, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania). They never married and Anna eventually married Wesley George after the death of his second wife in 1906.

More information to be added soon.

Brother
Peter Lewis Theberge

Note: The French spelling of the name is "Louis", so alternately, the father and son have been listed as "Louis" and "Lewis". Since they are of French descendant, the name was probably originally "Louis".
