She is survived by her husband, Tim Dillow and three daughters, Lindsay and friend Nathan Long, Bethany and friend K.C. Hostler and Madeline. She was also the proud "Grammy" of Hayden and Hailey. Also surviving are sisters Kelly and husband Tom DeRonda, Erin and one brother, Rob. She is also survived by nieces, Brittany Watson, Jillian and Stephanie Dillow and nephews Bradley Watson, Eli, Josh and Shawn Dillow. She will be sadly missed by many other close family members.
Amy will be best remembered for her love for family and children, especially the children at Asbury's Wee Disciples. She will be greatly missed by the Wee Disciples staff and her many friends as evidenced by the outpouring of love shown during her illness. She would want to be remembered as a loyal, fun loving and encouraging friend. She will be remembered for her bravery , positive attitude and perseverance as she bravely fought her battle with cancer. She will also be remembered for her response "I'm good" even when going through treatment and when she was in pain. She was a member of the Wee Care Relay for Life team in Jefferson County and served as the honorary chairperson in 2006.
Amy requested that in lieu of flowers memorials be in the form of donations to Wee Disciples, c/o Asbury United Methodist Church, 110 W. North St., Charles Town, WV 25414.
We will celebrate her life on Friday, April 17, 2009 at 11 AM at the Asbury United Methodist Church with the Reverend Richard Kroll and Reverend Melissa Rudolph officiating. Interment will be in the Pleasant View Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2-4 &7-9 Thursday, April 16, 2009 at the Church.
