Born November 4, 1916 in Teasdale, Utah to Bertha and Hyrum Brinkerhoff.
Married to Helen Peden on June 18, 1938; later sealed in the South Jordan Temple. Fay began at the age of eight herding sheep to help his father; he was a great rancher and farmer. He worked in the mines in Hanksville, Utah.
He retired from the Salt Lake City School District. He was known for making great wood crafts, beautiful furniture, and Hope Chests. He was a loving and caring man and will be greatly missed by all.
Survived by son; Robert F. Brinkerhoff (Shanna Lee) West Jordan, UT; Grandchildren; Douglas R. Brinkerhoff (Lori) Cathlament, WA; Karla Sorenson (Gary), Sigurd, UT. Siblings; Ardith Kounalis (Byron); Guy Brinkerhoff (Jan); Ione Stewart; three great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; twenty-five step-great-grandchildren; five step-great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his wife Helen Brinkerhoff, parents, brothers Reed and Arnold, sisters Ilene, Arba, and Freda.
Graveside Services will be at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at 11:00 a.m., with a viewing one hour prior to the services and Tuesday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive (1495 East), East Millcreek.
