Roland McClain, 57, of Sparta, passed away July 9, 2002, at White County Community Hospital.
McClain was born May 12, 1945, in Knoxville, to James Horace and Ann Kjar McClain.
He was a member of Cherry Creek Baptist Church. McClain was a homebuilder and had also pastored several churches in Tennessee and Florida.
McClain was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his wife, one daughter and son-in-law, one son and daughter-in-law, his mother, Ann McClain of Sparta; one brother, and two grandchildren.
Services were held at 2 p.m., July 12, 2002, at First Baptist Church with burial in Upper Cherry Creek Cemetery. Bro. Bobby Moore officiated.
