Lorraine was the eldest of three children born to Jerry and Willie Mae Roberson Daniel. Her family became members of the Methodist church in Italy attending faithfully. Lorraine accepted Christ early as a child. Thus participating as an usher, Sunday school, the choir, programs and where helpful.

After graduating Stafford High School, she moved to Hillsboro, Texas to complete additional studies. Unable to do so, she worked. While there she became acquainted with Alphonso Blair, friend of her family. Eventually the two married and years later became parents to Willie Joyce "Dimples" Blair".

Lorraine joined St. Paul United Methodist Church. Participating as an usher, choir member, Sunday school, Communion Board and when or where needed. Her work experience in Dallas included the original St. Paul Hospital as an aide nurse, private aide nurse for an ear, nose and throat specialist, Dr. Singleton, Supervisor of Housekeeping for Physician and Surgeons-Professional Centers Hospital in Irving, Texas. Approving of her untiring work, they recognized her as, "Employee of the Year" December 20, 1978. She was surprised and grateful. After retiring Lorraine worked in the cafeteria for St. Monica School as a Salad Maker. Remained active (intervals) as a private sitter / aide nurse. Lorraine happily supported her family in founding the Hillsboro Homecoming. Also, extending helpful hands to her daughter's community work, church, PTA, school, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, numerous charity events and whatever she was able to do when asked.

Cherishing her life and love are daughter, Willie Joyce "Dimples" Blair, Dallas; nephew, Robert N. Smith, Jr., Dallas; nephew, Curtis A. Daniel (Cynthia) Garland, Texas; cousin as a daughter, Michele Jones, Dallas; niece Delores Bell, Lansing Michigan; great niece Terri Bell, Lansing, Michigan; great nephews, Derek and Attorney Bernard Bell, Lansing Michigan; God niece Nancy Baker, Lansing, Michigan and God daughter Irene Johnson, Dallas, Texas.

The final remembrance will be August 3, 2010, 10am in St. Paul United Methodist Church, 1722 Routh Street Dallas, Texas. Viewing in the church 9am-10am prior to the service only. Burial: DFW National Cemetery. August 2, 2010 viewing, Lott's Mortuary, 2434 Martin Luther King, Jr. Dallas, Texas, 11am - 8pm.
