Anurfo was survived by his mother Gregorita D. Chavez of Chili; 2 daughters: Ashley Chavez of Chili and Annadyne Sanchez of Española; son Justin of Chili; 3 brothers: Herman of Española, Manuel and Gaby of Chili; 2 sisters: Edalia "Dolly" Montoya and Zennie Rendon of Chili; and many other relatives.
Funeral services were on Jan 12th in the San Jose Church in Hernandez. Burial was in the Chili Cemetery. Pallbearers: Anthony Martinez, Frankie Martinez, Larry Archuleta, Brian Maestas, Andrew Montoya, and Manuel Gallegos. Honorary pallbearers: Gaby Chavez, Tara Chavez, Jennifer Chavez, Daniel Rendon, Dolores Montoya, Patrick Chavez, and Melissa Gallegos.
