Woodrow Wilson Baggett, 85, of Pine Bluff, died June 9, 1998, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.

He was born on November 5, 1912, at Rison, a son of the late Morris Baggett and Willie Sanders Baggett.

He was a logger and truck driver until retiring in 1978. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie Ratliff Baggett; a son, Jerry Wilson Baggett; and three brothers, Samuel Baggett, Clinton Baggett and Charles Cecil Baggett.

Survivors include a son, Shelby Baggett of Pine Bluff; a daughter, Mae Baggett Hall of Pine Bluff; two brothers, John Mack Baggett of Pine Bluff and Charles Baggett of Star City; seven sisters, Ruby Walker of Rison, Mildred Poss, Mary Sue Golden, Jean Baggette and Jo Segars, all of Pine Bluff, Wilma Vern Owen of Mountain Home and Martha Taylor of Star City; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Mount Zion Cemetery at Kedron with Jerry Orf officiating.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Buie Funeral Home at Rison.
