Gilbertville Man Who Died Yesterday Early Immigrant.
Nicholas Bloes. 7-4, who died at Gilbertville yesterday after an eight weeks illness from paralysis came to America from Germany 51 years ago. He was born May 19, 1851 in Luxemburg. He was married in 1875 to Rosella Peterson, who preceded him in death in 1878. Mr. Bloes was again married in 1880 to Miss Susan Phillips, of Dubuque. Survivinga besides his widow are teh following children: Mrs. Theresa Bussey. Waterloo; "Nicholas Jr.,and Mary Bloes. Ashton, la.; George and Frank Bloes Jesup; Joseph Bloes, La Porte City, Peter Bloes, at home, seven grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday from St. Mary's Church Gilbertville. Burial will be at Gilbertville..
