Darrell had previously lived in Hastings and Henderson after being born in Henderson. He was a 1954 graduate of Hastings High School. He served in the U.S. Army as a paratrooper. He was an over-the-road truck driver.
Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his first wife, Darlene (Judah) Taylor in 1989.
Survivors include his wife of 12 years, Nancy A. Taylor; four sons, Danny Taylor and wife, Tracy, of Malvern, Jimmie Taylor of Malvern, Michael Brotherson and wife, Charlotte, of Panama, NE, and James Brotherson and wife, Kerry, of Paducah, KY; brothers, Paul and wife, Lana, of Hastings and Dan and wife, Mickey, of Broken Arrow, OK; seven grandchildren.
