Elmer Bergantzel 66 of Henderson died July 7 1984 at University of Nebraska Hospital in Omaha, folling a sudden illness. He was born October 12, 1917 To Joe and Iota Summers Bergantzel In Henderson Iowa. Elmer was united in marriage on February 26, 1941 to Edith Frink. He spent his lifetime as a farmer and lived and farmed most of his life in the Henderson community. He was a member of the Christian church in Henderson. He also was a member of the American Legion Denlinger Post No 530 in Henderson
and served his country in the army during World War II. Elmer was preceded in death by his father, one son Albion. Survivors include his wife and 2 sons Robert of council Bluffs and Roger of Henderson 4 grandchildren and his mother Iota McIntosh of Council Bluffs, 4 brothers Joe and Charles of Council Bluffs Lyle of Wolbach and Darwin of Tennessee. Also one sister Julia Socha of Omaha. Services were held on July 9th At the Christian Church in Henderson with the Rev. Jerald Caughron conducting the 2 p.m rites. Intermet was in the Farm Creek Cemetery in Henderson.
