Bradley Steven Richardson

Bradley Steven Richardson, age 49, of Joplin, Mo., passed away on Wednesday, March 21, 2007, following a sudden illness.

Bradley was born on May 8, 1957, in Big Springs, Texas, the son of Don D. and Peggy Richardson.

After graduation from MSSU, with a degree as a registered nurse, he worked for St. Johns Hospital and then Cross Country Nursing in Miami and Marathon, Fla., as an ICC nurse.

He served in the United States Coast Guard.

He received his captains license from the Florida Institute of Technology. He spent 13 years transporting custom yachts from Europe to the United States and the Caribbean, having his home in Key West, Fla., a city he truly loved. During this time he also tested engines for Evinrude. Before moving to Joplin in 1997, he had traveled all over the world.

After moving to Joplin he operated and was a corporate officer of Richardsons Antiques, Inc.

He is survived by his parents, Don D. and Peggy Richardson, of Joplin; and many many dear friends.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Chapel. Rev. Justin Monaghan will officiate.

The family will receive friends following the service.

He will be cremated following services.

Arrangements are under the direction of Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Chapel.
