Kieth Potter Wheeler, son of C.L. (Lawrence) and Sylvia Potter Wheeler, was born August 27, 1931, and passed away July 30, 2010, in St. John's Hospital, Joplin, from complications from Parkinson's disease. He graduated from Lebanon High School and Missouri State University. Following college, Kieth served in the U.S. Army in Germany. After being discharged, he worked for General Motors in Kansas City. He retired from GM in 1986.

Kieth was preceded in death by his parents; and first wife, Linda Foley Wheeler (1986). In 1987, Kieth married Susan Kelly Wheeler, who survives. He is also survived by sons, Douglas (Bobbi) Wheeler and Craig (Cindy) Wheeler; daughter, Julie (Brad) Lawrence; step-children, Jay (Kari) Williams and Kelly (Terry) Seaton; grandchildren, Cody, Caleb, Casee, and Cameren Wheeler, Marisa Lawrence, Evan and Trenton Williams, and Miles Williams and Marley Seaton.

Family graveside services will be Tuesday afternoon, in Greenlawn Cemetery, conducted by Reverend Laura Fregin, pastor of National Avenue Christian Church. Services are under the direction of Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel.
