Age 65 of Wheatland, passed away Sunday, June 27, 2010 at Aurora Burlington Hospital. He was born December 1, 1944 in Chicago, Illinois, to Milton and Eileen (nee Wiley) Kosar. Dennis spent his early life in Chicago and Trevor. He graduated from Salem Grade School and Central High School. Dennis proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1962 until 1966. He was stationed in Las Vegas, NV, during the Vietnam War and trained pilots on flight simulators.

On August 28, 1965 in New Munster, Dennis was united in marriage to Jean Kerkhoff. Following marriage they resided in Las Vegas, NV, and later Fox Lake, IL and are current residents of Wheatland for the past 14 years.

Dennis worked as an Electronic Technician for Six Flags Great America. He was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church and enjoyed woodworking, goose hunting, hiking, traveling, NASCAR racing and photography.

Survivors include his loving wife, Jean Kosar, their children, Joseph (Anna) Kosar of Spring Grove, IL and Kristin (Robert) Altmann of Ingleside, IL, father, Milton (Wilma) Kosar, grandchildren, Michael Altmann, Maya Kosar and Zoe Kosar, and by siblings, Nancy (Robert) Johnson, Janis (Jerry) Crane, Linda (James) Schultz, Mark (Debi) Kosar and Matthew Kosar. Dennis was preceded in death by his mother, Edith Eileen Kosar.

The family would like to express a special thank you to Dr. Paul Webber, Dr. Daniel O'Hair and the doctors and nurses at St. Luke's Milwaukee and Aurora Burlington Hospital and Clinic.
