BRENTWOOD — Phyllis H. Call, 90, formerly of 277 Water St., Exeter, died July 28, 2010, at the Rockingham Nursing Home, Brentwood, where she had resided for the past three years.

Born Jan. 17, 1920, in Detroit, Mich., she was the daughter of Harold C. and Laura (Hortop) Bennett. She had lived most of her life in Newmarket.

She was employed at Rockingham Shoe, where she worked as a cementer. She was disabled at age 53 and resided at 277 Water St., Exeter, for 24 years.

She was predeceased by her siblings, Joseph and Bruce Bennett, June Fontaine and Ruth Melville.

Phyllis is survived by a son, Douglas Call and his wife, Patricia, of Barrington; a daughter, Janice Campbell and her husband, Scott, of Summerville, S.C.; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Doris Nelson of Newmarket; and several nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held at the Kent & Pelczar Funeral Home, 77 Exeter St., Newmarket, on Monday from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., followed by a 2 p.m. funeral service and then burial in Riverside Cemetery, Newmarket.
