Services for William H. Zessin of Madison were held 2 p.m. Monday, June 2, at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Madison. The Rev. John O. Feierabend officiated.
William H. Zessin, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Zessin, was born on a farm southwest of Madison, January 1, 1890 and died Thursday morning, May 29, in a Norfolk hospital he entered May 20th. He was 85 years of age.
April 17, 1912, he married Matilda White of Madison. They lived on a farm southwest of Madison until 1928 when they moved to a farm near Newman Grove. In 1934 they moved to Madison where Mr. Zessin has since resided. Mrs. Zessin passed away Aug. 21, 1973.
He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Milda Ochsner; two sons, Ruben Zessin and Willard Zessin, all of Madison; five grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; three sisters; Mrs. Bertha Eucker of Norfolk, Mrs. Lillie Sattler and Mrs. Rose Boysen, both of Madison.
Mr. Zessin was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Matilda, three brothers and one sister.
