Russian Boxer. Born in Moscow, Russia, he was a Light-Heavyweight fighter most notable for winning the Silver Medal at the 1974 World Amateur Boxing Championship in Havana, Cuba. The event was the first ever on a world scale and had 274 boxers from 45 countries entered. He also won the Light-Heavyweight crown at the 1970 USSR Boxing Championship and the European Men's Championship in 1973.
