Deacon EDDIE KING SR. is the son of William King and Mrs. Sallie Johnson King.

He is one of ten (10) children born to his parents' union. His siblings include Eva, Wilson, John Lee "Johnnie", Edie, Vernon, Frank, Oretha and William Jr. Sadly, one of his siblings -- whose name is yet to be known -- died before the 1900 census.

Obituary | "Funeral services for Eddie King Sr., of Route 6, Marshall, will be held at noon Saturday at Shiloh Baptist Church in Scottsville with Rev. M.B. Collins officiating. Burial will follow in Scottsville Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home. Mr. King died Saturday in Marshall Memorial Hospital. A native of Harrison County, he was the son of William King and Mrs. Sallie Johnson King. He was a retired farmer, and a member of Shiloh Baptist Church, and a member of Glade Spring Lodge No. 293. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. M. L. King of Marshall; six sons: C.W. King and Will Youree King, both of Marshall; Eddie King Jr. of Kansas City, Missouri; Samuel King of Fort Worth, Texas; Ewing King of Houston, Texas; and Dennis King of Shreveport, Louisiana; two daughters: Mrs. Polly K. Fisher of Scottsville and Mrs. Joyce M. Perkins of Marshall; one brother, Frank King of Marshall; one sister, Mrs. Eva Bell of Scottsville; one stepson, William H. Horace of Wichita Falls; 24 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; and one great-step-grandchild."
