Jennie Von Martin with her parents moved when she was 18 years old from Bridgeport/Martins Ferry to Lorain Ohio. Her parents were Lewis W. Martin and his wife Sarah Matilda Henry. Lewis family ran a ferry business across the Ohio River at Martin's Ferry.
Jennie married Ernest George Braun when they were both 22 years old, on December 24, 1902. After Ernest George Braun's death she lived with her son Arthur Lewis Braun.
They had seven children; Rose Mary, Agnes Matilda, Erma Gertrude, Arthur Lewis, Thelma Elizabeth, born 6/5/1915 and died 2/22/1916,Nina May and Mary Ada.
