Reuben E. Bickel

Lorain - Reuben E. BIckel, retired employe in the accounting department of the sales division of the American Stove Co., died at 6:23 p.m. yesterday in St. Joseph HOspital after a week's illness. He was 80.

Mr. Bickel had worked for the stove company 38 years, 13 years of which was in the Cleveland office. He retired in 1954.

Born in Amherst, Oct. 10, 1883, Mr. Bickel came to Lorain at an early age and was graduated from Lorain Heigh School in 1903. He was graduated from BerkiDyke School of Commerce in Cleveland. He had lived at 1026 Fourth St.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ethel (Jaycox) Bickel; two daughters, Mrs. Eleanor Beck and Mrs. Janice Lyons, both of Lorain; three grandchildren, and a brother, George, of Parkersburg, W. Va.

Friends will be received at the Walter A. Frey Funeral Home tomorrow, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. John H. Huston, pastor of the First Congregational United Church of Christ will officiate.
