Clearfield- Beloved husband father and grandfather, Newell Edmund Judkins, 61, died August 8 at home of natural causes.

Born September 8, 1917, to Parley Barrett and Sarah Blanch Judkins. They married Myreta Murray, on November 8, 1937, in Salt Lake City. Later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Member of the LDS Church; active scouter. Member of the Clearfield 3rd Ward. Veteran World War II. A former resident of Murray. Former member and past president Murray Jaycees. Former employee Capital Chevrolet. industrial engineer technician, Hill Air Force Base.


Survivors: wife, Clearfield; sons and daughter, N. Jay, Redondo Beach, California; Jerrold M., Layton; Mrs. David (Julee) Hicks, Salt Lake City; two grandchildren; brother and sisters, Lynn B., Layton; Mrs. Albert (Alta) Bailey, American Fork; Mrs. Robert (Nina) Despain, Murray; Mrs. Thomas (Joyce) Parkin, Tooele.


Funeral services Saturday at 12:00 noon, Clearfield 3rd Ward, 231 E. 300 North. Friends may call Friday 7-9 p.m. Linquist and Sons, 400 North Main St., Kaysville, and Saturday at the church one hour prior to services. Interment: Murray City Cemetery. Funeral directors: Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary.
