A native of Wells County, Talitha L. McPheron, 90, of Cridersville, Ohio, died at 7:25 p.m. Monday at Otterbein-Cridersville.
She was a retired claims examiner for the State of Ohio's Department of Unemployment. Mrs. McPheron was a member of Westview United Methodist Church at Cridersville, Shawnee Grange and Shawnee Community Club.
She was born at Reiffsburg, Wells County, Ind., on Sept. 7, 1908 to James Conway and Leora Agnes Wells Adams. Her marriage on May 24, 1945 was to Harold Franklin McPheron, who died Dec. 1, 1984.
Surviving are two stepsons, Robert E. McPheron of North Fort Myers, Fla., and Joseph McPheron of Findlay, Ohio; two stepdaughters, Marguerite Riepenhoff and Rosemary Casey, both of Lima, Ohio; 16 stepgrandchildren; 24 stepgreat-grandchildren; and five stepgreat-great-grandchildren.
Seven brothers and a sister preceded her in death. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home in Cridersville, Ohio. Rev. Richard Adams will officiate and burial will follow in Shawnee Cemetery. Visitation hours at the funeral home will be Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m.
