Mildred Jane Stratton Davis , 90, of Danville, died Friday at Charleston Healthcare Center.
She was born July 16, 1920. She was the daughter of the late Isaac Lee and Minnie Lee Critchfield Stratton. She was a homemaker, a member of Salt River Baptist Church and a 1938 graduate of Danville High School. She was the widow of Elmer Karl Davis .
Survivors include two grandchildren, Stephanie Linnea Stone of Kansas City, Mo., and Joseph Pyeatte (Ashley) Council of Holden, Mo.; three nieces, Sharon Stratton of Danville and Janet Hasty and Karen Belcher, both of Lancaster; two sisters-in-law, Juanita Stratton of Danville and Sadie Stratton of Lancaster; and special friends Donald and Emma Hayden of Danville.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Carolyne Davis Phenix; and two brothers, Isaac Lee Stratton Jr. and Edward Garland Stratton.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Camp Nelson National Cemetery with the Rev. Bill Wilham officiating. Visitation is 5-8 p.m. today at Stith Funeral Home.
