Bessie Lamar came to Graham as a young child with her parents from Montague County, Texas.

Miss Bessie Lamar married Walter Roach on 17 March 1906. He preceded her in death. Three children were born to this union.

Mrs. Bessie Roach married Claude E. Minor on 7 March 1913. One child - Harry Minor was born to this union. The couple divorced on 4 March 1924 in Young County, Texas and her name, Mrs. Bessie Roach was restored to her.

Mrs. Bessie Roach married Claude E. Minor a second time in 1941 according to a statement she made in 1948. At the time of her death, she was Mrs. Bessie Roach.

Survivors: two sons - Rupert Roach, Harry Minor; daughter - Mrs. Evelyn Burkett; two sisters - Mrs. Louise Lewis of Haskell and Blanche Hutchins of Vernon, five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son - Lamar James Roach in October 1956.
