Anita Rae Garrison, 62, of 317 W. Dallas Road, Stanley died May 27, 2004, at her residence. She was a native of Gaston County, daughter of Jane Cloninger Garrison of the home and the late James David "J.D." Garrison. Funeral is at 3 p.m. Saturday, First Baptist Church. She will be laid to rest in Chapel Mausoleum of Hillcrest Gardens. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Stanley, and was a retired school teacher. Anita spent most of her career in education as a teacher and counselor in Brevard County Florida at Andrew Jackson Junior High School and Titusville High School.
