"The LaFayette Sun" - July 11, 1906:
In Memoriam.
June 16th, the angel of death visited the home of A. B. Jarrell and took away their darling sweet little girl, Iva Ruby. All was done for her that loved ones could do, but death claimed her. A brighter child never lived. She was a joy of all.
She is gone, but not forgotten,
Never will her memory fade;
Loving thought will ever linger
Round the grave, where she is laid.
We had a little treasure once,
She was our joy and pride;
We loved Her, ah! perhaps too well,
For soon she slept and died.
- Her Aunt.
