CATHERINE MARY BUTLER LOCKHART, age 75, formerly of Gahanna, Ohio, and Huntington, W.Va., died at her home in Westerville, Ohio, on Tuesday, October 31, 2006.

Born December 11, 1930, to the late William John and Ruby Leora Wheeler Butler in Ashland, Ky.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by infant sister, Patricia Anne and brother, Joseph Patrick Butler; infant granddaughter, Claire Elizabeth Mager, and sister-in-law Avonell Saunders Butler; brothers-in-law Charles Kehoe and James Hoffman.

She is survived by three sisters, Elizabeth Kehoe, Columbus, Ohio; Dorothy Hoffman, Ringold, Ga.; Theresa (Robert) Schenyer, La Crosse, Wis.; two brothers, William John and James Howard (Lois) Butler, Huntington, W.Va. She is also survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Lieutenant Colonel William Howard Lockhart, U.S. Army (Retired); two sons, William Howard Lockhart Jr. and Christopher Michael Lockhart; three daughters, Deborah Lynn (Bruce) Fingerhut, Mary Theresa (John) Barber and Barbara Joan (Robert) Mager; nine grandchildren, Kyle, Dustin and Joshua Fingerhut; Catherine Mae (Jason) Wiser; Bridgett and Elijah Barber; Christopher M. Lockhart II; Anne Catherine and Jonathan Paul Mager; two great-grandchildren, Jaden Leanne and Caleb Merrick Wiser and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation for family and friends will be held at Schoedinger Northeast Chapel, 1051 E. Johnstown Road (Rte. 62), Gahanna, Ohio from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday, November 3, 2006, with the funeral procession leaving the lot at 10:30 a.m. Catholic Funeral Liturgy, with Father Rod Damico officiating, will be conducted at 11 a.m. at Resurrection Chapel, 9571 North High Street, Lewis Center, Ohio (U.S. Rte. 23, five miles north of Columbus) on the grounds of Resurrection Cemetery where interment will take place. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 332 N. Lauderdale, Memphis, TN 38105 and/or to St. Bonaventure Indian Mission & School, P.O.
