s/o Wm. H. FARR (1810-1864) and Mary Violet FORSYTHE (d. 1890). He married Elizabeth "Bettie" CLOUD, d/o H.G.W. CLOUD & Mary BATEMAN. He was shot and killed by James CARROLL. Carroll would two months later be shot and killed at the same place (Waller Station) by an "Englishman" named Joe DRISCOLL. He was half brother to Joseph H. FARR who two years earlier had been shot and killed by his brother-in-law, also in Hempstead, Waller cty, Texas, known as "six-shooter junction" because of the violence there after the Civil War.
