Announcement of the death of Mrs. Annette Limerick Holder, at Baptist Hospital, Jackson, on Tuesday morning, July 17, was received here the same day with emotions of sorrow and regret among old friends.
Mrs. Holder was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Limerick of Rodney, and was one of the most beautiful women ever reared in Jefferson County. She was married to the late Dunbar Holder on June 15, 1904, and came to Fayette to live. Her two daughters, Michel and Dorothy, were born here before the family moved to Jackson, in 1910. Her sons were born in Jackson.
Forty-one years is a long time to most folks, and comparatively few Fayette folks remember Mrs. Holder. Older ones remember her beauty and lovely personality. She attended school in Fayette before her marriage and lived with her sister, Mrs. R. L. Beck, and Mr. Beck, who were then residents here. Mrs. Beck survives and lives in Hattiesburg.
The Jackson Daily News notice of her death,, published Tuesday afternoon, said:
"Mrs. Annette Holder, of 425 Northside Drive, died at the Baptist Hospital at 6:30 a. m. Tuesday following a lengthy illness.
"She was a member of the First Presbyterian church.
"Survivors include one son, Ben Holder of Jackson; two daughters, Mrs. John Class of Jackson and Mrs. Eldon Anderson of Greenwood; one sister, Mrs. Irene Beck of Hattiesburg; and two grandchildren.
"Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. Wednesday from Baldwin Chapel with Dr. Albert Sidney Johnston officiating.
"Interment will be in Lakewood Memorial Park."
