Mr. Vachel Coggin, near Sandy Ridge Church, happened to quite a serious accident Monday morning. His team became frightened and ran away with the wagon, throwing him out and bruising and cutting his face and body in a very painful manner.

Death of Mr. Vacheal Coggin.

Mr. Vacheal Coggin, aged 66 years, died at the home of his brother, Mr. Lee Coggin, near Leverett's Mill, last Sunday night, September 11. The remains were interred at Macedonia last Monday afternoon, Elder J. T. Satterwhite conducting the services.
The deceased is survived by five brothers - Thomas, Frank, William, Dock and Lee Coggin - and many other relatives and friends.
Mr. Coggin was a good man and a good citizen and had the respect of all who knew him.
