Services Held Today For Mrs. Hazel Kuhn

Funeral services were held on Thursday afternoon at the Methodist Church in Table Rock for Hazel M. Kuhn, 65, of Lincoln, who passed away on Tuesday. Officiating at the services were the Rev. George Danskin, and the Rev. Merril Willis, pastor of Grace Methodist Church in Lincoln.

Mrs. Danskin was vocalist, accompanied at the piano by Pearl Diehm.

Interment was made in the Table Rock cemetery.

OBITUARY-

Hazel M. Taylor, eldest daughter of the late Frank H. Taylor, was born February 20, 1893 at Table Rock, and passed away September 16, 1958 at Lincoln, Nebr. at the age of 65 years, 6 months and 26 days. She had suffered with pernicious anemia for many years.

She was a graduate from the Table Rock schools, and Nebraska Wesleyan University and had taken post-graduate work at Columbia, Northwestern, Toledo and Stanford Universities. She studied in Europe, majoring in music.

For several years she taught music in public schools in Nebraska, Kansas and Iowa.

Never content in retiring from the teaching profession because of her love of children, she continued in private instruction to large classes of pupils in Table Rock, Pawnee City and Lincoln, continuing until a few months before her death.

On June 15, 1929, she was united in marriage to Lee H. Kuhn and shortly afterwards they moved to Lincoln which has been her home until her death. To this union one son was born who lived only a short time.

She also leaves one brother, Harland B. Taylor of Shubert and one sister, Mrs. Raymond Stewart of Pawnee City; one aunt, Mrs. George Weatherhogg of St. Francis, Ks., and two nieces and one nephew, besides other relatives and a host of friends.

Mrs.Kuhn was united with the Methodist Church in Table Rock when a young girl. She served as church pianist for a number of years. After moving to Lincoln she transferred her membership to Grace Methodist Church. She also was a member of the eastern Star, Royal Neighbors, the Nebraska Legislative League and the Lincoln Music Teachers Ass'n.
