He is survived by companion of 26 years, Elizabeth Gibson of Nelsonville, Ohio; daughter, Dianne L. Campbell of New Straitsville, Ohio, Mary Kay Adams Ross of New Straitsvile, Ohio who was raised as a daughter; grandchildren, Leslie Ellis of Logan, Ohio and Brandon Hixon of Kazakhstan with the Peace Corp; brother, Virgil Campbell of Nelsonville, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clell and Naomi Campbell; wife, Daisy (Conger) Campbel who passed away in 1964; brothers, Ralph, Ernie, Delbert, Gilbert, Robert and Ted Campbell; sister, Noami Robinson.Veteran of WWII, husband of Daisy Conger, father of Dianne. Raised Mary Adams in the home. Known as a master mechanic owned and operated his own business many years. Was a well loved member of the Murray City Improvement Committee.
Uncle Russ loved to bake pies and made the most beautiful pies for family and fund raisers. He used his mothers recipe for the crust which included a secret ingredient, vinegar.
