She was born in Louisville, was a special needs caregiver for Quality Community Services, and a member of Christ Gospel Church in Jeffersonville.
Survivors include her mother and stepfather, Tammy and Bob Lewellen Jr., of New Albany; her father, Richard Thompson, of Jeffersonville; a sister, Kayla Thompson, of New Albany; a stepsister, Melissa Mennendez and her husband, Tom, of Sellersburg; two stepbrothers, Rob Lewellen and his wife, Rebekah and Ben Lewellen and his wife, Alisa, both of Charlestown; her grandparents, Alex and Linda Longest, of Clarksville; step grandparents, Verda Harbin, of Otisco and Robert Lewellen Sr. and his wife, Betty, of Sellersburg; and her great-grandmother, Daisy Knight, of Lake Worth, Fla.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to your local animal shelter.
