Anna Blesener 1829-1902
Mrs. Blesener died last Friday morning, February 28, at the home of her son Charles Blesener in Greenvale Township, aged seventy-three years. Death was due to an attack of acute pneumonia, though Mrs. Blesener had been an invalid for twelve years. The funeral was held Monday morning from Hazelwood Catholic church, the Rev. P. Kenny officiating.
Mrs. Blesener was born in Luxemburg, Germany in 1829. She came to America in 1856 and soon after to Minnesota. Her husband, the late Dominic Blesener, died six years ago. Since his death, Mrs. Blesener has made her home with her son Charles in Greenvale Township. Four sons and two daughters survive Mrs. Blesener: Henry of Kasota, S.D.; Frank of Eureka, N.D.; Dominic and Charles of Greenvale; Peter, of this city; Mrs. Hoffman, of Alabama, and Mrs. Weirish, of Northfield.
