Stoecker "Sir Froedrick"
Set sail under a black flag on November 25, 2007 for the Grey Havens. Age 42, a most unexpected departure. He is preceded on his new adventure by his notorious aunt, Shirley and uncle, David McPherson, and his father, Leon Stoecker. He is survived and cherished by his parents, Gloria and Orval Mathis; stepmother, Judy Stoecker; brothers, Gary Mathis, Eddie Stoecker; and he was a most beloved knight to his sisters, Tamra Straling, Sandra Cox, Dariene Stoecker; grandfather, Earl Gaunt; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, but he was especially close to his Aunt Sue and Uncle Ron Gaunt; aunts, Gennette Ferguson, and Barbara Anderson. He treasured his longtime friends, Rick and Teresa Jackson, Susan Arnot, his faire friends, Ashlee, Chris, Jeffrey, Karen, Phil "Blackhawk", Robert, Scott and most Beloved Guild Mistress and Guild Master, Casandra and Wade Perryman and their boys. He was a Renaissance Faire actor and was a past member of Saint Sebastian's Archery Guild and most recently with Studium Generale. He was knighted at court under his good friend and Guild Master, Patrick Dolby. He esteemed his Loyal Squire Peter and had many friends in many guilds. He is a descendant of John of Gaunt of England and de Bohun Knights of Normandy. Friends of Faire are asked to wear "thy clothes". Godspeed our love to you good sir. A memorial service and reception will be held on December 9, 2007 at 2:00pm at the Mission Oaks Park Dist. Community Center, 4701 Gibbons Drive, Carmichael, CA (916) 972-0336. A farewell viewing will be held on Sunday December 2, 2007 from 1:00pm to 5:00pm at Holycross Memorial Services, 486 Bridge Street, Yuba City, CA (530) 751-7000.
